One-on-One Tutoring

Volunteer tutors are the strength of All-Star Kids Tutoring. Tutors meet for 90 minutes each week with a 2^nd or 3^rd grade student during the school year. Each meeting includes an hour of one-on-one tutoring, a healthy snack, and a group activity. ASKT trains volunteer tutors to help students become stronger readers. Children reading at or above grade level by the end of 3^rd grade are much more likely to achieve personal and academic success.

All volunteers must submit an application, attend a training session, and volunteers 18 and over must undergo a background check. Volunteers who are 13-15 may tutor provided a parent or guardian attends tutoring sessions with them.
